A nice one. Might be difficult to find a start. Need to exit West at Kanazawa -Bunko, turn right and walk 5-10 min along the tracks (towards Yokohama ). Then signs will start to appear.
Thank you for the insights and excellent guides. Happy New Year! The end of a cycle, leading to a new beginning. You are right again. Today is only yesterday's tomorrow. The story never ends.
A great year of travel for you, lovely pics too ! I think one advantage of growing older is that you no longer bother with the big experiences and seek, as you suggest, smaller magic moments which occur in our daily lives. I worked abroad a lot in my younger life which in one way satisfied my travel/adventure cravings (I always joke that it was somebody else who paid for all my long-haul flights !) before retiring early to adventure at a much slower, though equally exciting, pace. Loved the article 'Travel is no cure for the mind', I agree that long-term interests are better than short-term gains. Glad you mentioned the Lone Pine in Penang, stayed there many years back. Happy New Year to you !!
I have to try the Kanazawa-Kamakura walk one of these days.

Let’s continue “cycling” (:
Thank you, Ben. Regarding smaller magic moments. Yes, there is a lot around the places where we live but have never discovered. Happy New Year!
