Yunishigawa onsen looks sensational and Tochigi seems like a different world to what I am used to....Shame that I couldn't "join in" based on the reasons already mentioned. Next trip maybe far away if on the cards but here is hoping.
Very informative and engaging as usual... I am just back from my daily beach walk with the dog (she loves to swim) and guess what: no beer either. Dry February for me (till the 25th).

Yes, completely different. I’m back in Tokyo today and here is spring like weather. There is a snow kingdom. Was snowing heavily in the morning.
That's a great walk, those onsen look lovely. Nikko is an interesting place to visit and has a nice feel to it. Good luck with the dry spell !
