I think moving from Japan elsewhere would be a shock. I call Sydney my home after 20 years living there. But returning from Japan to Aus is a different feeling now. Opposite is so much easier. I hear the same from many Aussies who come to Japan for business often enough to get “infected”. Quiet country with love affair of faxes and hand written bank form applications still in 2024 . But somehow many of us adore it.
